RXYM FASHION USA received it's first business recognition award from the "H.A.R.M. (Health Advocates Rejecting Marijuana) Organization" in late July of 2009 for it's awareness tee simply entitled: The REMEDY TEE.
RXYM's owner Ray Machado of Carlsbad had this to say about the award:
"Youth awareness is something that I am personally very passionate about. RXYM FASHION USA was started by my friends who shared the love of wave riding and wanted to simply give back to the next generation. When designing The REMEDY Tee, I called upon RXYM's lead artist from the Dreams & Reality Collection, Nick Arant of Costa Mesa. We went back and forth on the design for about a month until we were both pleased with the outcome. The REMEDY Tee encompasses 4 practical solutions to youth awareness: Recycling, Stopping Drug Abuse, Peace, & starting a Movement. It's tough enough being a kid and there are so many negative things for teens and youth to buy from numerous companies that they don't need another one. Where is the positive stuff? We are over those companies.. exploiting the youth and over pricing. We, at RXYM, will always stand against those two things. SUPPORT THE YOUTH!"
The award winning REMEDY tee will be available at www.rxymfashion.com, ebodyboarding.com, Alternative Surf, Asylum Board Shop, & OC Surf n Sport in San Clemente/Dana Point beginning Wednesday, August 19th.
