Massive update on RXYM XRMY Bodyboarding Team... hmmmm, interesting stuff.

First off, it's officially ok to just let go and get weird sometimes.  Keeps us all sane.  Second off, yeah, we haven't posted news in over a month.. which is lame.  So sorry.  But we are all living epic lives and it's kind of hard to sit down and document everything that goes down, but we will do our best from here on out to keep everyone posted on as much news as possible.  So here's an update on the team.. enjoy!

Rusty Friesen is on a world tour, not THE WORLD TOUR, but his own.  He left last week and headed to Korea.  Yeah, Korea.  Why, honestly we don't know.  But from there he went to a couple of other random countries before settling in Australia to shoot with Tim Jones.  Really though, by the time you read this he is probably cruising in South Africa with Andre Botha surfing, training and getting ready for the Canary Islands IBA World Tour Event before cruising over to the North Shore for PIPE this winter season.

Brandon "ODB" Foster is on the North Shore.  He stopped by and stamped his boards, picked up gear and left pretty quick.  He looks focused and amped like he did the first time he went to HI in 98' and stayed at the legendary Uncle Benji's house and surfed HUGE Log Cabins with CA's Brian Stoker when no one else would paddle out.  Why are we sharing this random story, because getting random is fun.  Here are some other random pics of the crew.

Rex Moribe, at the moment, is probably with some super hot foreign chick on some Hawaiian beach, talking smooth charming words into her ears and smiling.  If he is not on the prowl, he's working on his business, "Da Secret Sauce" and shooting with Ryan Beppu at Sandies and making some green at his job.  Trust us when we say Rex is laying low, saving his cash, and buying his time for when OFF THE WALL goes off this winter season on the North Shore.  He is a possible contestant for the PIPE event.. but we figure if PIPE had an expression session, Rex would be in it hands down!  Look for the Flyin' Hawaiian to make a statement this winter season and reminding the bodyboarding fans why he is such a freak on the boogie.

Bob Kithcart... hmmmm.  First of all his name is "Bloody Bobby" and if you know Bob like we know Bob, we know he is holding down MB and missing his woman.  He has the most coveted DK style out there and is as fit as an MMA fighter.  He took 2nd overall in the BIA Pro DK ratings, but we don't know if he cares about contests as much as he cares about surfing big powerful waves DK.  He is frothing like a grom to get clips for the new film, "This Is The END," and finishing up college this year.  Truly Bob, just listen to Montel Jordan's one hit wonder "This is How We Do It" and everything will be A-OK!

Jeremy "Right On!" Wright has done more stuff than we can name this year.  Arguably the hardest working pro to come out of CA in a long time.  He blogs, You-Tubes his adventures, tweets, facebooks, hustles and still has time to smile and sign a few autographs for the kids down at the beach.  He won the Mexico specialty event, cashed his check and picked up a new health energy drink sponsor, Spider Energy Drink (like he needs more energy ;)  Then, the following week, he got some epic boards shaped by Oceanside shaping legend, Jimmy Linville, stamped them with Wave Rebel and RXYM logos and booked his ticket to Puerto Escondido to film with Chad Stickney where he's been for over a month.  Did we mention he also went to a far away island (that we cannot name) and filmed with Timmy Hamilton for his upcoming film... AND somehow found time to pass all his classes while re-doing his new website?  Check it out at www.jeremy-wright.com and follow him at twitter.com/4jeremywright.  Go JW.

Matt Byzak has started his own business, Eighty One Images Photography.. go there now at www.eightyoneimages.com.  His shooting skills, particularly in the water have stepped up ten fold this past year & he can't wait to travel to some far off place with the RXYM XRMY.  He is saving up to buy new equipment, holds it down at IN N OUT, and still has time to enter the US OPEN of Bodyboarding where he placed 4th in the final this past Aug without surfing for 3 months.  Are you kidding me!?!  What a freak.  If he wanted to, he could definitely be in contention for the National Title.. but then again, he doesn't care.  Shooting photos is his new love.  It's only a matter of time before we see his shots all over the place.

Justin Crossman.. does he ride for Wave Skate TM... does he stand up surf now... is he the lead singer of a metal band... or is he all of the above?  Justin, we call him "J Cross" (but you shouldn't) is a very unique individual.  He listens to Bob Dylan and The Doors while working out like Laird Hamilton.  Seriously though, Justin is super fit, which he uses to his advantage while riding every kind of board under the sun (you should see his skate as well).  Look for a complete interview to hit this website on RXYM's most mysterious and unpublicized rider.  Until then, Justin is experimenting with unconventional boards, modeling his looks for multiple companies, and getting clips for the upcoming 2010 film as well.

Lisa Gonzalez took 3rd in the BIA Champs Pro Women's Open! (we think that having the contest at her beloved home break of Salt Creek had something to do with her deciding to put the contest jersey back on).  Apart from ripping in the water she is probably kicking it with her hubby, hoping and praying that their new house comes through, and saving animals at her veterinarian job.  She is well respected in the industry and is friends with more people than you.  Did we mention her art is simply amazing?  Look for her thoughts and ideas to be showcased in some upcoming RXYM apparel.

Christian Deason is on Kauai waiting for his new box of clothes to come in the mail.  He has won two events this year on the amateur ratings and needs a board sponsor!  Someone sponsor this ripper...  (don't worry Christian, we're going to set you up with one soon).

Lastly, Ray Machado.  Well, let's face it, Ray wears many hats with RXYM.. he is the visionary lead for the new concepts and fashion collections and takes clothing design quite seriously.  He is currently networking with a lot of people not associated with our industry to bring something new into our sport.  He is currently putting all of his energy into the new collection entitled, "The END" set to hit stores in March of 2010.  Having broken his ankle last year, Ray took the 2009 season off, only surfing in the PIPE DK Invitational and US OPEN of Bodyboarding event where he placed 4th in the final.  His new passion is filming and he has set in motion the new RXYM film, "This Is THE END" with all of RXYM's team riders frothing for clips.  Sadly, he recently injured himself again, this time having to go through surgery to repair a sports hernia.  OUCH!  Here's to a speedy recovery and a grand new year in 2010.

The END in 2010...

GET RADICAL!!
